The Company has arranged through the Third Party
Emergency Assistance Provider, Asia Assistance
Network(M) Sdn Bhd (AAN) the exclusive Malaysian
marketing and operating arm of Europ Assistance
Worldwide Services Pte Ltd to its designated
Insureds (hereinafter referred as "Members") to
provide the Breakdown Assistance Service Programme.
The 24 Hours Emergency Assistance Provider should be
contacted to obtain advance approval for breakdown
and/or towing services. Failure to do so will
invalidate a claim for such cost.
Scope of Services
The Member may contact the 24 hours Alarm Centre to
request for the following services.
i) 24 Hours Emergency Towing and Minor Roadside
Repairs
In the event that the Named Vehicle is immobilised
due to accident or breakdown, the member may contact
Europ Assistance 24 hours Alarm Centre for immediate
assistance. Should it be deemed possible by Europ
Assistance and / or its mechanics to provide Minor
Roadside Repair, Europ Assistance shall arrange for
such repairs. In the event it is not possible to
repair the car on site, Europ Assistance shall
arrange for the Named Vehicle to be towed.
Europ Assistance shall organise and pay for the
towing and/or labour cost for roadside repair up to
a maximum of RM 300.00 per event per vehicle. Toll
charges if any shall be borne directly by the
Member.
Europ Assistance shall not be responsible for any
cost incurred for any spare parts required during
Minor Roadside Repairs.
Territorial Limits
Full benefits are given if your Named Vehicle is
immobilised anywhere in Peninsular Malaysia
excluding all Islands except for Penang, Langkawi
and Labuan. In East Malaysia, services shall be
available within 25 Km of all the major towns of
Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri
and Kuching.
ii) 'Cashless' Hospital Admission Accidental
Medical Expenses
In the event that the Member and / or the passengers
are involved in a motor vehicle accident involving
the Named Vehicle and requires emergency cashless
hospital admission, Europ Assistance upon contact
will arrange for the admission guarantee up to a
maximum of RM3,000.00 per member and /or passenger
per event as defined in the Surgical Bonus Benefits
to the participating hospital to facilitate such
admission.
(iii) Car Rental Assistance
Europ Assistance shall assist to arrange for car
rental in the event of a breakdown or accident
involving the Named Vehicle.
(iv) Arrangement for Hotel Accommodation
Europ Assistance shall assist to organise hotel
reservation in the event of a breakdown or accident
involving the Named Vehicle should hotel
accommodation be required at the nearest possible
hotel.
(v) Referral to Car Service Centres
The member may contact Europ Assistance to arrange
for referral to the nearest repair and service
centre for car servicing or repair. Europ Assistance
shall also arrange for prior appointment if so
required.
(vi) Referral to Doctors and Hospitals
If the member and/or passengers should fall ill
whilst on the road, and require medical attention,
Europ Assistance shall assist to refer to the
nearest hospital or clinic.
(vii) Legal Assistance
In the event following an accident of the Named
Vehicle and legal assistance is required, Europ
Assistance shall assist to refer to a local legal
practitioner within the geographical limits.
(viii) Emergency Message Transmission
In the event of an emergency following breakdown or
accident involving the Named Vehicle, Europ
Assistance shall endeavour to keep the member's next
of kin informed.
All costs incurred in respect of Section (iii) to
(vii) shall be borne by the Insured, driver and/or
passengers.
Elligibility : Persons aged between 17 years to 70
years.
EXCLUSIONS FOR CAR
BREAKDOWN ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Car Breakdown Assistance benefits shall be
rendered to the named vehicle only. AAN shall not be
required to provide its services in respect of or
under the following circumstances:

Any Insured/Driver and/or
Passenger who drives the named vehicle
without a valid driving license or has not
been authorized to drive or has been
disqualified by law from driving. |
| 2. |
Services not organised directly by AAN. |
| 3. |
Cost of repair or
replacement of parts and components in the
workshop or service centre. |
| 4. |
If the named vehicle is or
has been modified for participation in rally
and racing, or if the named vehicle has been
modified against government regulations |
| 5. |
Service outside the
territorial limits stated in Clause ( i ) |
| 6. |
Failure of the Insured/
Driver and/or Passenger of the named vehicle
to take reasonable precautions or to follow
warnings of any intended strike, riot or
civil commotion via the mass media. |
| 7. |
Any illegal or unlawful act
by the Insured/ Driver and/or Passenger or
the use of the named vehicle for any
unlawful or illegal purposes. |
| 8. |
Any commercial vehicle. |
