Job Description

Valuation specialist responsible for data extraction, analysis of experience and trends, liaising with Claims Department and Risk Management Function, and production of valuation results and reports. This will be assisted by two junior staff.
Candidate is expected to gain expertise in IFRS17. support Stress Testing and Financial Condition Reporting, and adhoc reporting for Senior Management and other Departments.
Candidate needs to be able to articulate the rationale for modelling and actuarial analysis results to non-technical or non-actuarial audience.

Responsibilities:-
  • Reports to Appointed Actuary.
  • Key responsibilities are: Valuation of Insurance Liabilities, IFRS 17, BNM requests, Stress Testing, Financial Condition Reporting.
  • Technical modelling and advice and guidance to team members.
  • Ad hoc reporting and advising other Departments.
  • Other relevant work as required.
Job Specifications:-
  • Degree in Actuarial Science or related.
  • Good progress in actuarial examinations.
  • At least 5 years of actuarial experience in the general insurance industry and related to job responsibilities.
  • Project and people management experience.
  • Excel, SQL and SAS
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
