Over 160 members from our sales force nationwide kicked off 2019 with 3-days-2-nights retreat at the Berjaya Sompo Sales Conference 2019 in Ipoh, Perak. Prior to the sales conference at M Hotel, the participants checked in at their first rendezvous point at My Gopeng Resort, an eco-nature resort situated 7km away from the town of Gopeng and got their adrenaline pumping with white water rafting! It was certainly an exciting ice-breaking activity!

The conference began on Day 2 with a recap of 2018 achievements and expectations of 2019 deliverables by Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tan Sek Kee. Some key messages he shared with the team included:
• Being positive and always strive to find solutions
• Taking ownership
• Knowing data and the business
• Providing a level of service which we would expect to receive
• Improving ourselves by obtaining professional certification
• Delivering targets

Other sessions saw EXCO members and staff sharing on how to achieve growth targets and improve profitability.

The participants also got their creative juices flowing during a LEGO Play Workshop, where they designed and built their impression of SOMPO Valley. The conference ended with an award presentation ceremony for the top achievers of 2018 and officially closed with a gala dinner at the hotel before returning to their respective states the next day.
